Immediate feedback to each step in the solution process
MATH-TEACHER offers a unique interactive technique for mastering skills: Students type the steps of the solution process, similarly to the way they would write in their notebook. Unlike the multiple-choice method that evaluates only the final answer, MATH-TEACHER evaluates each step in the solution process and indicates for each step, whether it is correct or wrong in the context of the problem. It detects intermediate mistakes and avoids students from continuing in a wrong path.
The following figure shows how a student can master the technique of solving linear equations. It shows a series of steps that a student typed, each one is colored green (correct) or red (incorrect), until the student gets to the final answer.
