# Immediate feedback to each step in the solution process

MATH-TEACHER offers a unique interactive technique for mastering skills:
Students type the steps of the solution process, similarly to the way they would
write in their notebook. Unlike the multiple-choice method that evaluates only
the final answer, MATH-TEACHER evaluates **each step** in the solution
process and indicates for each step, whether it is correct or wrong in the
context of the problem. It detects intermediate mistakes and avoids students
from continuing in a wrong path.

The following figure shows how a student can master the technique of solving linear equations. It shows a series of steps that a student typed, each one is colored green (correct) or red (incorrect), until the student gets to the final answer.

Solving a linear equation- students can type as many lines as they need!
